Senior Solution Architect – Supply Chain & Logistics

The Role 7-Eleven is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to lead the technical strategy for our Supply Chain and Logistics ecosystem. You will be the bridge between our business goals—demand planning, inventory optimization, and logistics—and the engineering teams building the solutions.

We are looking for a seasoned technologist who will define a roadmap, and guide implementation across a complex retail landscape. You will be instrumental in building out our next-generation Supply Chain processes. Also driving the control tower implementation turning massive amounts of data into actionable operational insights.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving the Roadmap: Move beyond just "supporting" the business. You will actively shape the technology roadmap for our supply chain platforms, ensuring for future expansion and growth
  • Technical Liaison: Act as the primary conduit between product management, business stakeholders, and our engineering squads. You’ll take abstract business requirements and translate them into concrete, actionable technical designs.
  • Architecting for Scale: Design robust, cloud-native solutions. Whether it’s microservices, event-driven integrations, or complex data pipelines for our control tower, you’ll be the one ensuring the architecture is resilient and performant.
  • Data & AI Application: Go beyond standard reporting. You will lead data modeling efforts that enable real-time visibility to embed forecasting and optimization models into our core logistics workflows.
  • Executive Presence: You’ll be expected to hold your own in a room with leadership. You should be able to explain the why behind an architectural decision, clearly articulate trade-offs, and get buy-in on the long-term vision.

What We’re Looking For

  • The Experience: 8+ years in software engineering and solution architecture, with a significant portion of that time spent in retail supply chain, logistics, or demand planning.
  • Full-Stack Fluency: You have a strong background in development. You understand the nuances of modern full-stack engineering, API-first design, and integration patterns (event-driven vs. batch).
  • Domain Depth: You know the retail supply chain inside and out—from replenishment and inventory visibility to transportation and store-level fulfillment.
  • Cloud & Data: You are comfortable working in cloud-native environments and understand how to model data for high-velocity, real-time analytics.
  • Communication: You can simplify complexity. If you can’t explain a technical hurdle to a business stakeholder in a way that helps them make a decision, this probably isn't the right fit.
  • Adaptability: 7-Eleven is a fast-paced environment. We need someone who can navigate legacy system complexities while pushing forward with modern, cloud-first implementations.

Why This Matters This is a high-visibility role. The technology you architect will directly impact how we move product to thousands of stores, how we forecast demand in a shifting market, and how we empower our operations teams to make decisions faster. You aren't just building a system; you're building the future of supply chain logistics for 7-Eleven

What We Do

7-Eleven introduced the world to convenience. And in return, the world made us the #1 convenience retailer. It started with a simple idea – give customers what they want, when and where they want it. That was 1927. And what started on a single ice dock in Dallas, Texas, has since grown to more than 70,000 locations in 18 countries around the globe. The idea may have been simple, but it started a retail revolution.
