Lead the end‑to‑end strategy, design, and implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions in a hands‑on technical leadership role. This position oversees the full lifecycle of WMS initiatives—from research and architecture through implementation, optimization, and long‑term support. This position will also guide and mentor development teams, manage technical resources, and serve as the senior subject matter expert responsible for configuring, enhancing, and scaling WMS capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical teams in designing, developing, and implementing WMS solutions, integrations, and warehouse automation capabilities.
- Oversee delivery across Sprints and Releases, ensuring high‑quality execution aligned with product, supply chain, and business goals.
- Lead development resources, assign work, and coordinate workflows supporting WMS enhancements.
- Partner with product owners and operations teams to define requirements, technical designs, testing plans, and defect resolution.
- Architect and maintain integrations between WMS, ERP/OMS systems, microservices, and IBM MQ messaging.
- Design and support real‑time and batch interfaces enabling accurate inventory visibility and efficient order processing.
- Develop and optimize Azure-based data pipelines (Data Factory, Databricks) to support analytics and warehouse insights.
- Troubleshoot complex WMS and integration issues, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
- Drive modernization of current WMS architecture to Azure Kubernetes.
- Analyze system KPIs and recommend improvements to enhance warehouse throughput, accuracy, and reliability.
- Provide training, documentation, and technical guidance to teams and warehouse personnel.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in a lead development role
- 15 years of experience in Java, Spring MVC – Framework, SQL Server, Git/Git Hub, Web Services/API, SQL
- 3+ years of experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment
- Skills in programming and systems analysis
- Solid analytical skills - able to solve problems & interpret instructions in any form
- Project management expertise in planning and completing large and small projects
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
- 3+ years experience in Websphere, IBM MQ, Drools, Azure Kubernetes Service
- 5 years of leadership as a creative, competent team builder
- Experience in Digital Transformation projects
