About the Role  

Memac Ogilvy, a leading creative network in MENA and part of the global Ogilvy/WPP network, is seeking a Saudi Senior Arabic Copywriter / Conceptualizer for our Riyadh office. We are an integrated communications agency focused on "Making Brands Matter" through agile delivery and a strong people agenda. You'll join a diverse creative team, led by our Chief Creative Officer, contributing to award-winning work in a competitive industry space, with a strong focus on the Saudi market.

What You’ll Do 
  • Develop & Craft: Generate compelling, culturally relevant, and insightful concepts and copy for diverse campaigns, with a strong focus on the Saudi market and social media trends. This includes crafting impactful scripts, manifestos, straplines, slogans, and body copy for various media (digital, social, ATL, BTL).
  • Conceptualize & Innovate: Lead the development of strong, strategic, and culturally resonant creative concepts, translating insights into unexpected and effective ideas.
  • Collaborate & Present: Work closely with the creative team, Art Directors, and the ECD to develop groundbreaking campaigns. Present ideas clearly and persuasively to internal teams and clients.
  • Market Expertise: Apply deep understanding of the Saudi market, local nuances, and consumer behavior to all creative output.
  • Social-First Content: Develop engaging, social-first content, staying abreast of emerging social media trends.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure linguistic accuracy, impact, and adherence to advertising best practices, including proofreading and checking for compliance.

What You’ll Need  
  • Experience & Portfolio: Extensive experience in copywriting and conceptualization for advertising campaigns, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative, effective, and culturally relevant work, including examples of strong scripts and manifestos.
  • Language Proficiency: Native-level proficiency in Saudi Arabic (all dialects preferred, especially Najdi/Hijazi) and excellent command of Modern Standard Arabic is mandatory. Strong English communication skills are also required.
  • Conceptual & Copywriting Craft: Expert-level skills in developing strategic concepts and masterful command of Arabic copywriting, including tone of voice, linguistic nuances, and persuasive writing for various formats.
  • Saudi Market Acumen: In-depth knowledge of Saudi culture, traditions, and contemporary trends, with a proven ability to spot and integrate cultural insights.
  • Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of content creation for social media, including short form copy, trending formats, and engagement strategies.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional creativity, strong communication and presentation skills, proactive, curious, adaptable, highly collaborative, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in creating compelling presentations (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote).
