Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Applications Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and updating assigned enterprise applications. This role requires a deep understanding of the organization's software systems, and the ability to ensure their optimal functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management & Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of assigned enterprise applications to ensure seamless performance.
  • System Updates & Enhancements: Regularly update and enhance applications to align with business needs, incorporating new features or improvements.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new features or applications. Work closely with the business to understand their needs and translate those into actionable technical requirements.
  • Vendor Management & Support: Engage with third-party vendors for additional support, troubleshooting, and resolution of application issues. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure effective application support and feature enhancements.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Actively engage with team members and stakeholders to share expertise, troubleshoot issues, and further the adoption and effective use of enterprise tools across the organization.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective technical support for application issues, working to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for application configurations, updates, troubleshooting steps, and business processes. Ensure that documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date for both technical teams and end-users.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Assist in the development of training materials and conduct sessions to ensure effective utilization of the tools. Share knowledge with teammates to promote skill development and tool adoption across the business.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications in information technology also a plus.
  • At least five years of related experience.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience in managing and supporting enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering and working directly with business stakeholders to define technical needs.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors to manage support and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business users.
  • Passionate about knowledge sharing and driving tool adoption within the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining clear, accurate documentation.
  • Knowledge of OpenText and/or SharePoint/SharePoint Online is preferred but not required.
