The Engineering Manager – HCI SEA is responsible for leading regional engineering operations, ensuring project delivery excellence, driving engineering capability development, and supporting business growth across Honeywell Connected Industrial (HCI) products and solutions. This role combines technical leadership, commercial support, and people development to align engineering execution with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering project execution across the SEA region for HCI products and solutions (base portfolio and NPI).
- Own overall project delivery performance, ensuring schedule adherence, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive billability and optimize resource utilization across the regional engineering team.
- Develop and implement structured training and development plans for engineers aligned with business needs and emerging market demands.
- Mentor and coach engineering team members to enhance technical proficiency and leadership capabilities.
- Build a high-performance engineering team with strong domain expertise in HCI solutions.
- Own and drive Field Sales Lead (FSL) targets, contributing to additional order intake generated through engineering activities.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities and expand the project pipeline through engineering-driven engagements.
- Support revenue growth by aligning engineering capabilities with business strategies.
- Provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities, including clarifications, proposal development, and bid submissions.
- Actively participate in pursuit strategies, contributing technical insights to strengthen competitive positioning.
- Support risk assessment and solution validation to ensure feasible and optimized proposals.
- Deliver technical consultancy to clients during sales pursuits, influencing decision-making through strong technical advocacy.
- Engage customers to understand requirements, recommend optimal solutions, and build long-term relationships.
- Position Honeywell solutions effectively based on client needs and industry best practices.
- Serve as the regional technical authority for expertise either in Data domain (MES, APM, PI) or Process domain (Optimization: APC | Simulation: OTS, HPDT, USD)
- Drive standardization, best practices, and innovation in simulation solutions across the SEA region.
- Support complex project execution with deep technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Act as the Voice of Customer (VoC), capturing field insights and translating them into actionable feedback for product development.
- Influence product roadmap and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and project learnings.
- Collaborate with global product teams to align solutions with regional requirements.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Control Systems, or related discipline).
- Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering, with a strong background in L4 data domain, or L3 process domain, or industrial software solutions.
- Proven experience in engineering leadership or management role, preferably managing regional or cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated involvement in project delivery, proposal development, and technical sales support.
- Experience working in oil & gas, petrochemicals, refining, or process industries preferred.
- Track record in customer engagement, technical consultancy, and influencing stakeholders.
