We're excited to welcome a passionate Senior Application Engineer to our Connected Gateway Team within Global Tire Intelligence Solutions (GTIS). This team brings Goodyear’s smart-fleet vision to life, designing the hardware, firmware, and industrialization behind our IoT gateways and ensuring they seamlessly connect with vehicle sensors across diverse fleet environments. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of integrating cutting-edge technology into both last-mile delivery vehicles and commercial truck fleets, helping our business units bring innovative, real-world tire intelligence solutions to market.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate Technical Engineering needs with the business units of Goodyear, capture user stories, make technical proposal and review implementation with the team and the belonging suppliers.

  • Coordinate, prioritize all belonging work to successfully release new hardware or new software features.

  • Review with other Goodyear engineering teams, hardware support for new feature development and integration. Support vehicle integration including reverse engineering

  • Monitor Key HW KPI in Fleet Testing, Process cloud data and manage dashboard design for best engineering support

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of product and process. Bring system requirements from fleet solutions to the Hardware and Software engineering teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ Years of experience in the design, testing of automotive systems and/or IoT device required.

  • Practical experience in system debugging, root cause analysis.

  • Experience in automotive hardware / system engineering (signal conditioning, data acquisition, data transmission, environmental testing and certifications) is an

    asset.

  • Experience in data processing skills with scripting languages like Python or Matlab M.

  • Experience in hardware testing, environmental, electric, EMC testing

  • Working experience with automotive development process: A-Spice / ISO26262 / Scrum.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge in automotive CAN bus, standard protocols like UDS, OBDII communication processing and decoding

  • Knowledge in wireless data transmission system (LTE 4G, Bluetooth LE, Wifi...) as well as network protocols is an asset.

  • Self-motivated, accepts difficult challenges and think out of the box. Adaptability & versatility are key.

  • Enthusiastic team player, self-learning with interest in IoT, SDV and automotive world.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
