In the position as Senior Application Engineer (f/m/d) Power Semiconductors & Semiconductor Protection you will be reporting to the Senior Manager for Global Application Engineering. You will be responsible for the simulation, development, verification and documentation of Evaluation boards, demonstrator designs, and technical marketing tools for Power Semiconductors & Semiconductor Protection devices.
About the Position:Development, build-up and implementation of evaluation boards, reference demonstrator designs and technical marketing tools based on aligned fields of application with a focus on electrical, mechanical and thermal product characteristics
Content Creation for application notes, whitepapers, manuals and presentations
Carrying out electrical and thermal verifications in the laboratory in Lampertheim as well as creating circuit simulations to support design-in activities for our customers
Solve 2nd level customer inquiries in cooperation with the customer representatives
Analysis of customer applications and their technical requirements and documentations
Occasional attendance at trade shows and conferences
Master’s Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics
4+ years of experience in the Power Semiconductor industry or in the development of power semiconductor applications, for example inverters or power supplies
Lab experience in power semiconductor applications
Very good knowledge on power semiconductor devices and power electronics
Extended software skills in PCB-Design and Circuit simulation with PLECS and/or SPICE
Very good analytical skills as well as a team-oriented and proactive way of working
Very good written and oral communication skills in English and German
Willingness to travel (10-15%)
