Job Title

About your role:

You’ll be responsible for working with development teams to design Fiserv’s go-forward API integration services platform.  In this role, you will be supporting enterprise solutions with your extensive experience in API management and will be responsible for the complete life cycle of API proxies for the API platform. You’ll interact with Fiserv's wider governance and centers of excellence to ensure all APIs are developed along the same guidelines but adapt those guidelines as necessary for each unit/division. You’ll directly influence the software architecture behind the API and encourage code re-use and collaboration across teams.

What you'll do:

• Drive technical planning and delivery of API management solutions using API management platforms.
• Design API specifications, develop proxies, and implement custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, etc. for proxies.
• Enforce and implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications, etc.
• Build microservices systems using programming languages like Java, Spring, or Node.js to support the API Management Solutions.
• Standardize and automate the CI/CD deployments for proxies and dependent entities using API management tools.
• Ensure the health and well-being of the platform is managed and SLAs are maintained.
• Work with QA teams to ensure API testing automation is in place to support the deployments.

Experience you'll need to have:

• 6+ years of hands-on development experience with Google Apigee platform(s) like Apigee X, Hybrid, and Edge
• 3+ years of experience in GCP, Azure, or AWS
• 3+ years of experience in major programming/scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Node JS, Python, etc.
• 2+ years of experience in developing microservices using any programming languages
• 2+ years of experience with API testing and automation test frameworks 
• 2+ years of current Fiserv systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or an equivalent combination of related experience, educational background, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience with CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, Harness, Gitlab) for Apigee proxies deployment automation
• Cloud developer or cloud architect certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP
