Autodesk is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Accounts Payable Analyst with a strong foundation in AP operations and a proven track record in automation and AI-driven process transformation. This role is in Bangalore reporting to the Manager of Global Accounts Payable. This role goes beyond transactional processing where you will be expected to identify scalable automation solutions, leveraging technologies such as RPA, AI/ML, and intelligent document processing to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control across the AP function.
Responsibilities
Promote a digital and automation-first mindset within the AP team
Lead to end-to-end automation projects, from business case development to deployment and post-implementation optimization
Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices per SLA
Analyse, research and resolve invoice discrepancies with appropriate internal and external resources
Answer vendor and internal customers AP related queries
Perform payment as per the scheduled payment timeline
Perform month-end closing tasks which include reconciling accounts payable relating to GL accounts, analysis of aging items, clearing of suspense accounts, and journal posting
Work with related parties (procurement and finance) to ensure the clearing of Accounts Payable balances
Ensure accounts payable natured balances are reconciled and provide a valid reason for aged items
Identify opportunities to automate manual AP processes and reduce touchpoints
Liaise with the extended Finance team to fulfil the local tax/statutory audit requirements in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare reporting schedules and resolve audit issues identified by auditors
Ensure adherence to Autodesk policies, procedures, and SOX controls
Provide coaching and training to team members on AP processes and automation tools
Analyse actuals spend versus historical/forecasted amounts and explain variances to corporate accounting to support quarter end close process
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
More than 10 years of end-to-end Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a large multinational organization
Demonstrated experience in leading or implementing AP automation / digital transformation projects
Hands-on exposure to RPA tools, AI/OCR solutions, or workflow automation platform
Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and OpenText
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Willingness to support extended hours during month-end close
Must be able to converse, read and write in English fluently
Handle complex issues with minimal supervision
