Summary

This role is responsible for processing incoming invoices, resolving supplier inquires and timely booking of invoices for payment run.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable for Novanta
• Booking PO and non-PO invoices in AP invoice processing tool, recurring entries and resolve supplier queries
• Daily booking of AP payments based on bank statement, including direct debits
• Assisting with preparing the AP accrual
• Follow corporate accounting policies and procedures to ensure SOX compliance and Novanta Approval Matrix
• Process weekly check runs to ensure timely release of payments
• Assist with special projects as required
• Assist with SOX audits – preparation of documentation for internal and external Auditors
• Provide support to colleagues within the team
• Provide training of junior members of AP team
• Perform daily tasks independently
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Assist with launching new AP automation tools
• Be able to resolve more difficult tasks

Your Experience, Education, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• At least 4 years experience in Accounting
• Experience with Accounts Payable in a Shared Services/ Multinational corporation environment
• SAP/Oracle ERP system experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus
• Advanced skills with MS Excel, Word and MS Office
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Able to work on own initiative, high level of work quality and attention to details
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others from multiple locations
