As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll build and maintain mobile applications and features that power key user journeys across our digital products — from design and implementation through testing, release, and ongoing improvement. You'll work closely with product, design, backend, and platform engineering teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, friendly environment where you can turn ideas into polished, production-ready experiences quickly.
What you'll do:
- Build new features from the ground up in close collaboration with design, product, and other teams
- Help design clean, reusable, and resilient high-level architecture with the mobile team
- Fix bugs, monitor app performance, and keep existing code healthy
- Participate in and lead code reviews
- Contribute to architecture decisions on how to scale our apps
- Make smart engineering and product decisions grounded in data and cross-team collaboration
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of native app development experience, with strong command of the Android framework (Intents, Flags, Activities, Fragments, etc.) and OOP design best practices
- Experience with standard Android tooling (Android Studio)
- Strong background in Core Java, Kotlin, and OOP concepts
- Familiarity with native app architecture and design patterns, including MVVM
- Experience with deep linking, analytics, and A/B testing
- Solid understanding of core software concepts: networking, security, storage management, multi-threading, and app lifecycle management
- Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate complex project requirements into a detailed technical implementation plan
