Join us as an Analytics Engineer and help us deliver high-quality, trustworthy data models that power strategic decisions for our 600,000+ customers. You will be part of a team of Analytics Engineers building datasets that support Qonto’s ambition to become the leading financial platform for SMEs in Europe.
In this role, you will focus on Compliance & Accounting topics which are key Qonto as a leading FinTech company. That means working on data models that enable regulatory and financial reporting with a very high bar for accuracy, traceability, and reliability, in a context where deadlines can be driven by authorities.
As an Analytics Engineer on this scope, you will work closely with Alice Fresko, our Lead Analytics Engineer, to scale our data modeling capabilities and reduce technical debt while ensuring our models meet the requirements of regulatory and accounting stakeholders.
👩💻🧑💻 As a n Analytics Engineer at Qonto, you will:
Deliver high-quality data models for Compliance & Accounting / Regulatory reporting, ensuring they are trustworthy, auditable, and actively used
Contribute to end-to-end delivery: from discovery and specification alignment, to modeling, validation, and production readiness
Maintain and improve existing SQL + Python pipelines/automation (especially while some reporting flows remain in the current stack)
Partner closely with non-technical stakeholders (regulatory and accounting teams) to clarify definitions, document assumptions, and align on expected outputs
Work on scaling and reducing technical debt within data models, improving quality, maintainability, and robustness under deadline pressure

• Technical Excellence: You'll work with DBT as our primary data modeling tool, focusing on dimensional modeling and building robust data foundations. We value thorough analysis phases and put heavy emphasis on upfront technical designs and smart slicing
• Collaborative Environment: You'll be part of a team that spans multiple locations (Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Belgrade) and works seamlessly across time zones. Daily stand-ups with both the Analytics Engineering team and Business Analytics teams ensure smooth collaboration

Your manager will be Alice Fresko, our Lead Analytics Engineer. Alice joined Qonto in 2021 and has grown from Data Analyst to Lead Analytics Engineer, playing a key role in shaping our data modeling practices and analytics engineering culture. She brings both technical expertise and vision for data modeling, passionate about creating robust data foundations while promoting a culture of knowledge sharing. • Experience: You have solid experience as an Analytics Engineer (or in a very similar role) and can own deliverables end-to-end with a high level of autonomy
• Rigor and reliability mindset: You care about correctness, traceability, and “what can go wrong” thinking (especially for reporting / finance-like topics)
• Data Modeling Expertise: You have strong modeling skills (dimensional modeling), and you design efficient, maintainable models
• Technical foundations: You are strong in SQL, and comfortable using Python for automation/maintenance when needed
• Business partnership: You communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, you can surface ambiguity early, and you document assumptions and definitions
•Project management: You can handle multi-step projects involving cross-team collaboration, managing delivery from discovery to impact
