LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Canada, working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone) or PT (Pacific Timezone).


THE ROLE:


The Senior Analytics Engineer is a subject matter expert on digital tag management system implementation. You are responsible for the processes and practices related to supporting, implementing, and maintaining tag management systems for our clients; and working with other disciplines on documenting, training, and promoting analytics and data practices. The goal for this role is to ensure Apply Digital is delivering consistent and high-quality digital analytics implementations and other analytics infrastructure to help our clients on their digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of robust, scalable tag management systems and understand how to leverage their capabilities (Adobe Marketing Cloud, Google Marketing Platform).
  • Lead the operations of integrating first and third party tags.
  • Provide consulting services in web analytics, and tag management implementation.
  • Lead and participate in discussions to select and apply relevant analytic techniques and create actionable business insights.
  • Evaluate business goals and implement document tracking/tagging strategies to measure success.
  • Presentations and recommendations to senior management, business teams, and develop plans to help operationalize analytic solutions.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest data, machine learning, analytics technology trends, to help influence the direction for the Data & Analytics Discipline.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and management, facilitating effective analytics and reporting.
  • Implement and manage Martech platforms such as marketing automation, customer data platforms (CDP), and testing platforms to enhance marketing capabilities and customer insights.

Requirements:

  • Adobe and Google certifiedSegment certified (implementation and/or marketer).
  • 3 + years of experience in digital analytics implementation.
  • 3 + years of experience in Tag Management Solutions on Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • 3 + years of experience on digital marketing system implementation using tag management tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Python and other programming languages used in data analysis.
  • Understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and web protocols to develop and implement analytics solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/initiatives.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or Engineering. A master’s level education is an asset.
