About this Role
The Consumer Banking Lending Analytics team is responsible for developing analytical solutions and strategic insights that support portfolio management, servicing operations, collections strategies, payment behavior analysis, delinquency management, and overall business performance.
The team is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Analytics Consultant to join the Auto Lending Portfolio & Servicing Analytics Team.
The candidate will provide analytical support across key areas of the Auto lending lifecycle, including portfolio monitoring, customer servicing, payments, collections, deferrals, delinquency management, operational effectiveness, and performance reporting.
This role requires strong business acumen, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with multiple stakeholders, and driving data-based decision making.
Responsibilities
Execute large and complex analytical initiatives that support Auto Lending portfolio performance and servicing strategy objectives.
Partner with business and operations teams to identify opportunities for improving portfolio performance, customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and servicing effectiveness.
Develop analytical frameworks to assess portfolio trends, customer behavior, payment performance, collections effectiveness, and operational processes.
Build and maintain monitoring dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions to track key portfolio and servicing performance indicators.
Analyze asset quality metrics, delinquency trends, payment behavior, roll rates, collections outcomes, customer contact strategies, and portfolio performance across customer, product, vintage, channel, and operational segments.
Develop forecasting and analytical methodologies to support portfolio planning, capacity planning, staffing requirements, collections performance measurement, and business strategy initiatives.
Design, develop, and maintain complex SAS, SQL, Python, and reporting solutions to support portfolio analytics, operational reporting, and business decision making.
Evaluate internal and external data sources to enhance portfolio insights, servicing strategies, and operational effectiveness.
Perform deep-dive analyses to identify emerging trends, operational opportunities, customer behavior patterns, and business improvement opportunities.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting packages for business leaders and executive management.
Support data governance, data lineage, data quality, and access management initiatives across analytical and reporting environments.
Collaborate with business, operations, servicing, collections, finance, technology, and data teams to deliver analytical solutions and strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
4+ years of experience in analytics, portfolio management, servicing analytics, business performance analytics, collections analytics, or related consumer lending functions.
Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Portfolio Analytics
- Servicing Analytics
- Collections Analytics
- Customer Management Strategy
- Business Performance Analytics
- Forecasting & Planning
- Data Management & Reporting
Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Power BI, or related analytics and visualization tools.
Experience working with large-scale databases such as Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop, or cloud-based data platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, isolate root causes, and develop actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desired Qualifications
Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience in Auto Lending portfolio management, servicing analytics, collections analytics, or customer management strategy.
Strong proficiency in SAS programming, SAS Macros, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
Experience developing executive dashboards, portfolio monitoring frameworks, and operational performance reporting.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights and cross-functional partnerships.
