Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Analytical Consultant (m/f/d) with experience in the financial services and payments industry to join our Customer Analytics team, which develops data-driven solutions for our clients.
This role is central to delivering impactful analytics, supporting pre-sales activities, and driving innovation in areas such as credit risk, fraud detection, and customer intelligence. The Senior Consultant combines technical expertise with business knowledge to ensure our clients realize measurable value from Experian's local and regional data products and analytical services.
We offer the flexibility to work in a hybrid model from our offices in Düsseldorf or Frankfurt.
You will report to the Customer Analytics Director in Germany.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to create relevant insights that support decisions in credit risk, fraud analytics, and customer behavior
- Build advanced statistical models and machine learning solutions for complex client challenges
- Guide pre-sales activities by assessing client needs, developing tailored solution concepts, and supporting proof-of-concept projects
- Collaborate with teams — including Sales, Product Development, and Marketing — to ensure seamless integration of analytics into client solutions
- Strengthen client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support business development projects
Qualifications
- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- +5 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, analytical consulting, or related advisory roles, focused on credit risk, fraud analytics, or marketing analytics
- 4+ or more years of experience in banking regulatory requirements and analytical use cases within the financial services and payments industry
- 4+ or more years of experience working with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining; proficiency in Python or similar programming languages and PySpark
- 4+ or more years of experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms and data visualization tools
- Fluent German and English language skills
