Essential Job Functions
- Serve as General Accounting functional expert for designing, creating and producing internal financial reports utilizing Hyperion Essbase and related modules.
- Will include consolidated monthly financials for distribution to Senior Management and individual store and department level Profit and Loss statements for distribution to the field as well as fulfilling any special reporting requests as needed.
- Operate in cross functional groups, acting as liaison for General Accounting with Finance, Accounting Systems, Information Technology on all aspects related to the reports and their underlying systems.
- Perform monthly detailed department and account level analysis of actual versus budget/forecast results, interfacing with other departments to identify and understand causes for discrepancies; communicate findings and recommend solutions as appropriate to senior management.
- Manage business improvement initiatives such as process re-engineering and system enhancements.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or the equivalent, 3 years general accounting and/or financial analysis experience plus 5 years progressively responsible experience is required.
- MBA preferred.
- Applicants must be accurate, detail oriented and proficient with PC based systems.
- Advanced level Excel and Access skills are required.
- Previous intermediate to advanced experience using Essbase and Hyperion Financial Reporting as an analyst is required, System 9 experience a plus.
- Previous experience working with Oracle financial software is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communications skills are necessary due to the nature and level of interaction with other department personnel as well as senior management.

Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
