Ardent is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our team.  

This is a hybrid position located in the Washington DC area.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a skilled Senior Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support clients by analyzing and optimizing business processes, gathering and translating requirements into actionable system specifications, and assisting in the implementation of technology solutions. You will operate under the direction of an Information Technology Project Manager or other senior consultants, contributing to information management and system integration needs across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and hands-on experience with the IT lifecycle, focusing on optimizing system implementations and enhancing data management processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Requirements Gathering: Lead the process of gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of business needs and translating them into technical specifications.
  • System Design & Implementation: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring that systems are aligned with user requirements and business objectives.
  • Data Management: Manage, manipulate, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring data quality and integrity across systems.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend technology solutions or process improvements to optimize workflows.
  • Technology Integration: Support the integration of new technologies into existing systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with project managers, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met within scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Training & Support: Provide end-user training and support to ensure smooth adoption of new systems, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • System Documentation: Create and maintain clear, detailed system documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and project reports.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track and monitor system performance and project progress, providing regular status reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies, business trends, and best practices in IT, and proactively recommend improvements to system designs and processes.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    (Master's degree is a plus, but not required.)
  • 8 years of professional experience in information technology, data management, business analysis, or a related field, with a strong understanding of business processes and IT systems.
  • Key Skills:
    • Extensive experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating business needs into system specifications.
    • Strong understanding of the IT lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and post-implementation support.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and data management techniques, with experience working with large datasets and business intelligence tools.
    • Familiarity with systems integration and implementing new technologies within existing IT environments.
    • Ability to create detailed system documentation, user manuals, and reports.
    • Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence) for tracking deliverables and progress.
    • Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
    • Proficiency in SQL and other data management tools for querying and manipulating databases.
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
