Summary: 
 

The Senior Analyst builds the data models, analytics products and AI agents that the business uses to answer its own questions. Working under the direction of the Analytics & AI Senior Lead, the role covers the whole path: capturing requirements, building semantic and dimensional models in Microsoft Fabric, and building the agents and assistants that answer from those models. 

Building agents is a core part of the job. You will design what an agent can see and do, write tools and skills, write and version instructions, test, and deliver with controls.

You will also use AI in your own delivery, from drafting requirements to generating and testing models and reports, so that products are built and maintained with far less manual effort.

The role works closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, contributing to working groups and forums, building relationships across the business, and applying the data governance, privacy, and quality standards set by the Governance Lead.

This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office.

Requirements:   
 

• Works with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and document business requirements and use cases; contributes to working groups and forums and helps prepare materials for them.
• Translates documented business requirements into technical specifications for models, reports and agents.
• Delivers reporting, BI solutions and self-service analytics, and the agents and assistants business user’s query.
• Builds and maintains data models using agents and designed so an agent can interpret them and answer correctly, applying and helping refine agreed business metric and KPI definitions.
• Builds AI agents and assistants: defines what the agent can do, writes tools, skills,  instructions. Tests agents, investigates wrong or uncertain answers
• Uses LLMs and AI-assisted development in day-to-day delivery, including requirements, model and report generation, test creation and documentation.
• Builds automations and agent-driven workflows that remove repeated manual steps from business processes and from the team's own delivery work.
• Applies agreed data classification, access controls, and privacy standards.  
• Delivers advanced analytics on cleansed, governed, validated data through the data platform, and contributes ideas and prototypes for new products. 

Safety:

• Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 7 years or more experience delivering data models, reporting, and analytical products.
• 5 years or more experience working with business stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver quality data products.
• Built an agent with an LLM in the last eighteen months that a company used.
• 2 years or more experience using AI tools to deliver quality data and analytics work.
• Ability to travel 5-15%
• Stakeholder engagement — experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders, running or supporting workshops, and managing competing priorities with support.
• Business analysis — ability to turn business needs into clear, testable technical specifications.
• Data modelling skills, plus SQL and Python for analysis and automation.
• Delivering reporting and analytics using data and AI/ML tools.
• Automation tooling — Power Platform, Power Automate, Dataverse (or equivalent) to reduce manual effort in delivery.
• Practical, applied use of generative AI/LLM tools for analytics work (e.g. accelerating documentation, model or report generation).
• Awareness of data privacy, sensitivity, and responsible AI/data-use principles.
• Willingness to work across multiple business domains (e.g. finance, operations, commercial, engineering).

Desirable

• Data science/ML exposure is desirable.
• Experience in construction reporting/analytics and US compliance is .
• Microsoft Azure/Fabric and Power BI — experience working across the path from raw data to governed models to reporting/consumption.

Anticipated base salary range:  $94,300- $117,900

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
