Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financia Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS). This role will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day processing of general accounting transactions, managing and billing out the GBS site expenses/budgets/forecasts, ensuring accuracy in entries, while compiling financial reports and analysis.
Accountabilities- Responsible for tracking and billing all the GBS site costs across the global Copeland organization while also creating annual budgets and updating quarterly forecasts for spending.
- Oversee daily financial data entry in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries and manage general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured. Prepare detailed financial data for management review and facilitate necessary adjustments.
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and reports that deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making.
- Review and present financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations/tax authorities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data and streamline reporting processes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the general accounting function, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and risk management strategies.
- Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects, such as financial data analysis and process improvements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- 3-6 years of relevant experience with general accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation
Essential:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP Suite and its related modules
- Familiarity with Hyperion Finance Management (HFM)
- Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.e., US GAAP and IFRS)
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required.
- Portuguese is a plus.
Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
