Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert during the Workday Financials implementation, collaborating with the implementation partner, project managers, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with system setup, data migration, and integration testing for all relevant financial modules
- Ensure the successful deployment of Workday Financials, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, Asset Management, and Financial Planning
- Troubleshoot issues, providing expert level support, based on severity and impact. Resolve issues or identify vendor escalations as needed. Own issues until resolved
- Work closely with internal partners (Finance, HR, Systems) to build and maintain Workday business process configurations and security
- Administer and maintain user access and security roles within Workday Financials, ensuring appropriate access controls are in place
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to maximize the Workday suite to provide an easy and efficient employee and manager experience
- Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Implements or directs the implementation of such process improvements
- Actively leads and works on multiple projects at a time. Possesses a clear understanding of the project benefits and risks, and clearly communicates to team members as well as stakeholders
- Collaborate with business partners to configure business processes and routing rules, including unit testing, regression testing, and end to end testing of new functionality
- Develop and maintain internal documentation related to Workday
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with Workday Financial Management, with hands-on expertise in configuring and managing multiple modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Financial Planning
- Experience with Workday implementation projects, either as a client or implementation partner
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting requirements
- Ability to ensure all operational transactions are captured accurately and interfaced timely while maintaining data integrity
- Experience with Adaptive Planning
- Ability to recommend Workday specific process improvements, innovative solutions, and ways to remain compliant with policy and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
