Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Travel and Expense, is responsible for managing the global travel and expense reporting process, ensuring compliance with CPP Investment’s policies and standards, providing support to employee inquiries, administering the corporate credit card program, and managing key performance indicators relevant to the success of the Travel and Expense program.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. This is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Review all employee expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and standards.
- Maintain a strong controls environment and understand relevant risks to mitigate against fraud
- Provide first-level support for inquiries related to expense reports, addressing and resolving any issues promptly.
- Conduct user training sessions on expense reports processing to ensure all employees are well-versed in company procedures and policies.
- Perform monthly and quarterly expense compliance audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or non-compliance issues related to employee travel expenses.
- Administer the activation and deactivation of corporate credit cards to maintain control over the company’s credit resources.
- Manage the relationship with corporate credit card service providers
- Deliver quarterly reporting on key performance indicators and relevant metrics
- Forecast year-end travel expense related accruals
- Provide ad hoc department level travel and expense reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3- 5 years of experience in travel and expense management roles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in expense management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Workday Expenses and Concur Travel would be considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to liaise confidentially with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, management, global office managers, and external service providers
- Experience with Tableau would be considered an asset.
- Experience conducting end user training in individual and group settings.
