Senior Analyst, Settlements, Transfer Agency

Role and Transfer Agency

Senior Analyst, Settlements role in the Transfer Agency department is based in Limerick and reports to the TA Settlements Manager. The position focuses on overseeing and performing quality assurance for external and internal cash payments, meeting strict currency deadlines, maintaining client service standards, satisfying regulatory requirements, and collaborating with partners across jurisdictions.

The role sits within a dedicated cross-jurisdictional Settlements Team. The Transfer Agency department provides third-party fund services to multiple fund management companies across shareholder service functions, including Client Services, Dealing, Registration, Settlements, Reconciliations, Distributions, Rebates and Commissions. 

The Senior Analyst works with Transfer Agency partners and Managers on daily team support while developing on-the-job skills that contribute to the department's overall performance.

Payment Oversight and Operational Control

The role is responsible for input, approval, and quality assurance checks on Redemptions, Subscriptions, Dividends, Commissions, and Rebate Payments, with each activity completed against strict currency deadlines.

Key operational duties include:

  • Managing the work queue and completing assigned work within relevant deadlines.
  • Answering queries in accordance with department procedures.
  • Supporting mailbox monitoring so that queries are completed within the applicable service level agreement.
  • Maintaining adherence to Client SLDs and to all Northern Trust policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Supporting procedural reviews and enhancements to improve quality.
  • Completing additional tasks that are relevant to the role and business requirements.
Team, Client, and Change Support

The Senior Analyst attends team huddles and meetings, maintains close working relationships with other Transfer Agency areas and external stakeholders, and participates in client visit meetings when required.

The position also includes:

  • Taking an active role when the department undergoes an audit.
  • Supporting project-related work as required.
  • Helping onboard new partners and acting as a buddy or mentor to support their integration into the role.
  • Making themselves available for on-the-job training.
  • Maintaining cooperation with Transfer Agency areas such as Dealing and Registration, as well as internal areas including Client Services.
Accountabilities

Employees in the role are expected to comply with the regulatory regime applicable to Northern Trust's operations and to exercise due care and diligence by ensuring that their areas of responsibility are organised and controlled.
