As the Senior Analyst - Strategic Initiatives, you will support high-impact business priorities by conducting market research, performing internal and external data analysis, developing business cases, and producing insights that inform strategic decisions for Wesco, its customers, and its suppliers. You will apply structured problem-solving to ambiguous business challenges, support strategic business development and partnership opportunities, and contribute to the execution of AI-enabled initiatives from process definition and requirements gathering through implementation and benefits tracking.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts industry market research and in-depth internal and external data analysis to support key strategic initiatives, develop insights and recommendations, and prepare materials for internal and external leadership.
- Develops business cases and models commercial scenarios to support strategic business development initiatives.
- Analyzes potential partnerships, supplier opportunities, and M&A targets to identify synergies, supply chain efficiencies, and business development harmonization opportunities.
- Supports execution of end-to-end AI-enabled initiatives, including business process definition, requirements gathering, implementation support, and benefits tracking
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required
- 5+ years of experience documenting business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, collaborating with impacted stakeholders, and implementing business process changes.
- 5+ years of experience navigating enterprise security, legal, and technology requirements to support tool or process implementation.
- 3+ years of experience building dashboards, data visualizations, and insights that support business decision-making.
- 3+ years of experience developing business cases, commercial analyses, or strategic recommendations using internal and external data.
- 3+ years of experience leveraging AI or automation tools to prototype, document, and support development of solutions that address business problems.
- Supply chain and sales experience preferred
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
