Job Description
Create searches and use bespoke media information tools to find relevant data. Collect, collate and interrogate data to determine its accuracy.
Create and manage global broadcast audits for multiple sports leagues and events, evaluating data from official audience providers, broadcast schedules, and other various sources.
Clean and transform data in Microsoft Excel, using advanced text formulas, logic statements, pivot tables, and index/vlookups with the objective of being able to work and manipulate large volumes of data efficiently.
Communicate with client service and analyst teams around project scopes, timelines, and key findings against expected results.
Quality checking fellow analyst’s data outputs, suggesting pertinent improvements
Adhere to data management quality control processes to ensure accurate, consistent and compliant delivery of data.
Line manage, and coordinate & quality check the workload of a small team of analysts where required.
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
A passion for professional sport, following a range of sport leagues/teams from a fandom perspective
At least 2 years of relevant industry experience with proven skills in Python, including, but not limited to, writing functions, working with data using pandas and numpy, and familiarity working with JSON.
Experience working with Git (github, gitlab, etc.) for software version control and knowledge of basic SQL & interacting with APIs
Relevant data analytics experience.
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft advanced Excel, working with large data sets and complex formulas, including strongly desired familiarity with VBA statements and macro scripts.
Excellent data organisation, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Competency in sampling methods, and regression/predictive analysis.
Ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects to ensure deliveries are kept on track.
Perform data validation and verification checks, quickly addressing any discrepancies
Experience of working to deadlines, using proactive communication to update stakeholders of progress or scheduling issues.
Experience of answering client and colleague questions about data sets
