Our Accounting Special Projects team is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven professional who is looking for a high-visibility role and the chance to work on a wide variety of projects. This position provides an opportunity for upward finance and accounting mobility within The Wonderful Company organization. This position will be based at our HQ Office in West Los Angeles and working a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.

Job Description


  • Perform special projects as requested for over 50+ diverse legal entities. Special projects may include standardization of accounting or FP&A policies, system implementation partnership, acting as Business Unit support staff, assessing operational efficiency, contractual and financial compliance, evaluating internal controls, and business acquisition support
  • Perform accounting or FP&A bench strength engagements across different Business Units to assist in periods of natural attrition or temporary gaps
  • Work and thrive in many indirect reporting relationships leading to multiple communication channels
  • Demonstrate thoughtful understanding of stakeholder objectives when planning project deliverables and milestones
  • Demonstrate end-to-end project management abilities, such as preparing project plans/timelines, driving progress towards project milestones, managing and engaging stakeholders, regularly evaluate scope/project status, and presenting findings via documentation and formal read-out to team and stakeholders
  • Present clear and concise recommendations and assist stakeholders in the implementation of those recommendations
  • Provide oversight and management of the FARM Program which manages 8+ Rotation Associates annually
  • Create and oversee improvement initiatives for the FARM Program
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Embrace process improvement initiatives
  • Exhibit curiosity for continual digital literacy

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance practices and processes, such as accounting close cycles, budget cycles, forecasting/reforecasting cadences, financial statement review, adequacy of financial documentation and internal controls
  • Ability to independently meet deadlines in a timely manner and manage multiple projects/deliverables
  • Adept with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and familiarity with enterprise accounting or planning systems
  • Effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Goal-oriented, motivated, and easily adaptable to a dynamic environment. Creates and maintains positive relationships within the team and extended organization
  • Travel up to 25% to both domestic and international locations (most travel within CA). Corporate planes are available for domestic travel
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • CPA or currently pursuing certification (preferred)

Pay Rate: $95,000 - $105,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
