Overview
The Senior Analyst, settlement operations team plays a key role in the analysis and implementation of changes in strategies related to settlement process flows, operational controls, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate is passionate, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. Should be capable to handle responsibilities relating to settlements and reconciliation end to end processes by providing technical and advisory knowledge. To coordinate settlement strategy/projects, standardize the settlement process and oversea and eliminate revenue leakages if any.
Role
The Roles are responsibilities are expanded across MTS PINs and MTS PRO receive partnerships, assisting with settlement operations and reconciliations, providing accounting support and analysis.
Process Management, coordinating with vendor team in handling the process, monitoring, and reviewing the reconciliations of various receive partners of Mastercard Cross border Services (Banks /FI's), to ensure accuracy and as per agreed timelines. Support in handling ad-hoc requirements from various stakeholders such as Agent balance reviews, audit queries, ad-hoc reports/ trackers etc. Track and escalate the issues/queries, coordinating with BDM's/agents/FIs to solve the reconciliation issues as II level escalation.
Participate in analysis and implementation of changes in strategies related to settlement process flows, operational controls, and risk mitigation. Provide settlement related data mining, data analysis, trend analysis and forecasting expertise in support of settlement related initiatives.
Provide technical and advisory knowledge to ensure the development and implementation of applications and procedures that provide adherence to business requirements. Contribute to components of larger projects by performing in-depth analysis to evaluate financial, operational, customer and system impact. Report urgent/important glitches with stakeholders (Technical/process specific). Analyzing current processes and see if there is any scope for process improvement.
Handle KT sessions, monitor and upgrade the process knowledge of the team (in-house/off shored) to bridge the knowledge gaps if any.

• A subject matter expert for Settlement and reconciliation process• Prior relevant experience in Remittance / cross border business finance stream preferred• Good knowledge of accounting concepts and Foreign Exchange calculations involved in cross border remittance transactions.• Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of MS office applications, power BI etc.• Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer/speaker, able to communicate your vision and road map effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.• Always look forward for potential solutions to solve problems.
