The Role

What ServiceNow Business Analyst contributes to Cardinal Health

The ServiceNow Business Analyst is responsible for managing development projects; documenting workflows and business processes; and communicating those processes to the ServiceNow team so appropriate solutions can be developed to meet the needs of customers.

  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how all ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow. This includes, but is not limited to Incident Management, Change Management, Problem, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, and Problem Management modules.
  • Build initial project plan and adhere to larger project plans to finish tasks as assigned and update stakeholders of date/scope/task changes. Ensure project dependencies are clearly defined, documented and communicated appropriately in terms of time required to complete.
  • Manage customer expectations to coincide with the needs of all relevant stakeholders, including other customers, resource limitations, and IT policies and best practices.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure business requirements are clarified and documented. Ability to create process/data flows and wireframes to clearly communicate a set of requirements including flowcharts of data flow diagrams.
  • Create and execute test cases and report on testing progress
  • Provide project support (issues tracking, user training)
  • Managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff
  • Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary
  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements.
  • Recommends process improvements and displays a continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree preferred
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification
  • Experience implementing systems using Agile methodology

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • More than one year of ServiceNow experience to include an in-depth understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how all ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow. This includes, but is not limited to Incident Management, Change Management, Problem, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, and Problem Management modules.
  • Ability to work independently and manage schedules, documentation, project planning and communications.
  • Robust analytical skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Google Drive and computer applications such as Visio, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Intermittent working knowledge of project planning techniques used in Agile, waterfall and/or Six Sigma project methodologies. Knowledge of ITIL principles and concepts.
