Your New Role

Are you an experienced Risk professional who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing stakeholders and driving meaningful change?

 

As Senior Analyst, Risk Transformation, you'll play an important role within a Fund-wide risk transformation program designed to strengthen risk management practices, governance and accountability across the organisation.

 

Working as part of a specialist transformation squad, you'll partner with stakeholders across Finance and Technology, Digital & Data (TDD) to support the implementation of new risk frameworks, governance requirements and operating model changes.

 

This role sits at the intersection of Risk, Compliance and Transformation, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and delivery skills. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, First Line Risk teams, Group Risk and program leaders to help bring the Fund's future-state risk framework to life while ensuring practical implementation outcomes are achieved.

 

The role would suit someone with Risk Management experience in Financial Services, either within Line 1 or Line 2 Risk, who enjoys project-based work and can confidently operate in a fast-paced transformation environment.

 

What You'll Do

  • Support the implementation of the project initiatives across the Finance and Technology, Digital & Data domains.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Risk teams and program leaders to help embed new risk frameworks, controls and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to implementation planning, milestone tracking, governance activities and delivery outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure understanding of program expectations, impacts and responsibilities.
  • Support prototyping, testing and implementation of risk solutions and supporting processes.
  • Assist with updates to Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platforms and related systems.
  • Identify implementation challenges and contribute practical solutions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across Australia, New York and London to support consistent program outcomes.

 

What You'll Need

  • Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA) or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper. 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes 
  • Financial Services experience is essential.
  • Experience within Risk Management, Compliance or related control functions.
  • Experience working within Line 1 and/or Line 2 Risk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk, compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting transformation, change or project-based initiatives within Risk functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking capability.
  • Experience working with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, ideally Archer or similar platforms.
  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Highly regarded bonus experience would include:

  • Exposure to CPS 230 or operational resilience initiatives.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Risk or related disciplines.
