About the Role
As a Senior Reconciliation Analyst at Zepz, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily, month and year-end reconciliations process, performing reconciliations, investigating items with internal and external parties, and identifying opportunities for streamlining/automation. You will work within Zepz's reconciliation financial operations team (FinOps) reporting to the Assistant Manager. 
What you will own

• Owns complex reconciliations and high-risk accounts. Acts as SME for processes and provides guidance to junior staff.
• Diagnoses complex breaks, identifies systemic trends, improves reconciliation quality, and ensures timely substantiation.
• Provides informal leadership, training, and process guidance. Helps stabilise the team during peak periods.
• Assesses reconciliation risk, identifies control weaknesses, and supports audits with strong documentation.
• Performs deep-dive analysis across systems and processes to identify true root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Manages stakeholders on complex issues, explains break drivers, and builds credibility through high-quality analysis.

What you bring to the table

• This role requires a finance-based degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in reconciliations, audit/accounts preparation, or working in a shared service center. 
• The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

Bonus Points if you

• Advanced Excel, reconciliation platforms, BI tools, and query-based analysis. Troubleshoots system and data issues and coaches others.

AI Literacy & Tools

• A genuine curiosity about AI and how it can be applied in your area of work — from accelerating analysis and insight generation, to improving how we design and deliver processes and communications.
• Practical experience using AI tools in a professional context — whether to connect information, draft content, build frameworks, or create insights from data. We want people who actively use AI to increase productivity, not those who are waiting to be told to.
• Strong AI literacy — an understanding of what AI assistants can and cannot do, how to prompt effectively, and how to critically evaluate AI-generated output before using it.
• Awareness of the ethical considerations and responsible use of AI in the workplace, particularly in the context of sensitive data, customer experience, and compliance.
• Prior experience using Claude (Anthropic) is a nice-to-have but not essential — what matters most is that you are genuinely engaged with AI as a tool, comfortable experimenting, and eager to share what works with your wider team
