ABOUT THE TEAM

Reporting to the Director, Public Markets Solutions, the Senior Analyst, Public Markets Solutions will contribute to the team mandate. Public Markets Solutions handles all the solutions for Public Markets Front-Office, Back-Office, Treasury and Investment Compliance. We are focused on value-creation via efficiently designing, planning and delivering the appropriate scalable solutions with PSP’s operating model.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Analyst, Public Markets Solutions, you will:

  • Be a key contributor to gather and analyze needs  from investment teams and business partners

  • Play a frontline role in terms of requirements translation into user stories and/or IT technical specifications

  •  Lead, define and support different complex artifacts (configuration, documentation, testing, implementation, deployment)

  • Take a lead role into testing lifecycle (Regression, Integrated and UAT testing)

  • Play a key role in support maintenance, incident resolution, problem solving and continuous improvements regarding the Front-Office solutions

  • Facilitate and/or contribute to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for new enhancements from planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation

  • Monitor and propose adjustments relating to existing processes and procedures

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or in computer science and/or the equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Experience in the financial investment industry, more specifically in public markets, is a crucial asset. Knowledge of public markets trades/instrument lifecycle (Swaps, TRS, CDS, Fixed Income, etc.) is a strong asset

  • Five (5) and + years of experience in business and system analysis for financial investment applications and solutions

  • Experience with Bloomberg suites solutions (AIM, Terminal, B-PIPE, MARS, PORT, API’s, Data feed) is an asset

  • Professional designation such as CFA, FRM, etc. considered an asset

  • Proficient with SQL tools for data analysis and mining is a crucial asset

  • Ability in messaging in XML: Schemas, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)

  • Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure: Windows, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server

  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
