What success looks like in this role:
Senior ICost Analyst specializing in Pricing Statements of Work (SOW), you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and determining the cost structures associated with IT projects. Your expertise in financial analysis and understanding of IT services will be critical in developing competitive pricing strategies for Statements of Work. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate cost estimation and supporting business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for IT Statements of Work, considering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts to understand project requirements and resource needs.
- Develop and maintain financial models to estimate project costs, profitability, and potential risks.
- Utilize historical data and industry benchmarks to enhance the accuracy of cost projections.
- Work closely with business development and sales teams to develop competitive pricing strategies for IT services.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and industry benchmarks to inform pricing decisions.
- Utilize cost estimation tools and methodologies to streamline the process of calculating project costs.
- Implement best practices in cost estimation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the proposal team to provide accurate and timely cost inputs for bid submissions.
- Review and contribute to proposals, ensuring alignment between pricing and project deliverables.
- Monitor project financial performance against initial cost estimates.
- Provide insights into variances and contribute to continuous improvement in cost estimation processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cost estimates, pricing strategies, and financial models.
- Generate regular reports for management review, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
- Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for management. •Work with Management to develop and implement price strategies. •Coordinate proposal development with the sales team and management. •Prepare multi-year cost/pricing models. •Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations. •Provide project support and analysis to program managers. •Validate pricing information for accuracy and profitability • Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required. • May independently develop new models, charts and graphs, and procedures as necessary. • Requires an understanding of indirect cost pools, forward pricing projections, bid multiplier rate analysis, etc. • Manage price change execution and quotes, including data integrity and consistency. • Identify andresolve issues around pricing and margin. • May function as team lead

You will be successful in this role if you have:
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years business or equivalent related work experience. • Pricing experience and knowledge of the IT industry preferred.
• Prefer the ability to train less experienced pricing professionals.
• Ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine pricing instruments.
• Good presentation and management skills.
• Requires an understanding of indirect cost pools, forward pricing projections, bid multiplier rate analysis, etc.
• Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of pricing issues.
• Medium to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
