Key duties and responsibilities
- Responsible to setup the Middle Office Reconciliations in automated tool for daily/Monthly recons
- Logic and reasoning ability for data reconciliation setup alongside auto matching rules knowledge
- Prepare Cash/Position/Market Value Reconciliations and resolving breaks for valid break reason and notify stakeholders. If any breaks are due to an erroneous due to Reconciliation tool, then make necessary adjustments to fix it
- Create complex reconciliation templates and automation rules within the reconciliation tool to increase auto-match percentage and improving operational efficiency.
- Identifying missing and / or inaccurate information in vendor database and resolve issue with independent research
- Examining the company’s accounting records, reviewing them with banking documentation, and reporting any discrepancies in the reports
- Co-ordinating to set up SFTP connections with clients and implementing automation to seamlessly transfer files into the reconciliation tool, reducing manual intervention and improving processing efficiency
- Effective communication with vendors for reporting requirements and timely resolution of reconciliation queries.
- Support operations on projects related to Automations/Work migrations etc.
- Support global changes in Key operating procedures and implementation.
- Coordinating with Internal/External Stake holders such as Securities/Trades and Pricing Team, Reporting Team, Client Service Managers and Clients.
- Ensure to get cross trained within process and transfer the Knowledge between the team.
Skills Required
- Experience working with an investment management or finance-related firm.
- Good knowledge of the investment industry with 5+ Years in Hedge/Mutual Fund administration or related industry experience.
- Experience with reconciliation and break resolution and, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, analytical, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with FundRecs/TLM/Paxus will be an added advantage.
- Strong logical and analytical reasoning ability
- Experience in Hedge Fund accounting, booking accruals, tying back P&L, Balance sheet will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Work additional hours as needed.
Qualification and Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, MBA Finance, CA/CMA/CFA
- Minimum 5 years of Hedge/Mutual Fund reconciliation and break resolution experience.
