The role:

The role can span from business partnering and classic FP&A topics (consolidation of month-end reporting and providing analytics, fixed cost planning, forecasts, budgeting, external reporting), as well as topics specific to Supply Chain (standard costing, inventory valuation, stock takes and stock alignment, capital expenditure, purchase price, manufacturing and subcontracting variances, freight and warehousing activities).

Project work connected to the role may include continuous improvement projects, as well as driving standardisation within Supply Chain Finance across AEMEA and preparation for SAP4Hana roll-out.

This is for an initial 12 - 24 month contract leading to a permanent fixed role based in Darmstadt (hybrid working model).

What you will do:

  • Own and improve the actuals reporting and analysis and forecasting and budgeting for major Supply Chain budgets (e.g. Capex, write-off and material usage, freight and warehousing, manufacturing and procurement variances).
  • Drive the business through reporting and leading cost reviews on major Supply Chain budgets and cost types.
  • Own process or support: Consolidate and analyse monthly actuals reporting and provide financial analytics to Supply Chain Management and EMEA FP&A.
  • Support inventory controls team: ownership or back up for coordination and execution of annual stock takes, stock alignments and resolution of idocs.
  • Support inventory reporting team: inventory reporting, inventory valuation, disposals and write-offs.
  • Support costing team: contribute to costing process, cost of goods guidance for budget, cost of goods reconciliation, calculating preliminary cost on new product developments projects and work on cost reduction projects.
  • Proactively, and on demand, prepare financial analysis to drive actionable insight.

What you will need:

  • Completed Bachelor's or FH degree in finance or business administration.
  • Relevant professional experience of 3-5 years
  • Ideally experience in complex, international matrix structures
  • Very good SAP knowledge (FI, MM, COPA, BPC)
  • Business fluent in English. German not mandatory
  • Very good knowledge of Excel
  • Very good business acumen and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive approach and solution-oriented thinking and acting
