The Core Responsibilities!
- Contribute to the quarter-end cycle by ensuring accuracy and timeliness across key deliverables, including (but not limited to) internal Board updates, earnings presentations and press releases, investor factsheets and marketing presentations
- Support in managing relationships with research analysts & associates by responding to inquiries, monitoring published reports and financial models (for tracking consensus); participate in analyst meetings to gather insights that could enhance investor disclosure
- Assist in preparing for investor meetings and industry conferences by coordinating logistics and schedules, developing investor profiles summaries and supporting Q&A preparation
- Monitor developments across the Canadian banking sector by reviewing peer earnings calls, industry publications, macroeconomic updates, and thought pieces from research analysts to inform internal perspectives and external messaging
- Oversee the maintenance and timely updating of EQB’s Investor Relations website to ensure accurate and current disclosure of corporate materials
- Contribute to the planning and execution of recurring events, including Investor Day, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and annual reviews with the credit rating agencies
- Maintain and update the client relation management (CRM) database to accurately track investor interactions, meeting notes and engagement history
- Attend industry conferences and leverage external resources to identify investor relations best practices and share relevant insights internally
- Collaborate with the Public Relations (PR) & Communications team on the development of non-quarter-end press releases
- Provide ad hoc support, research and analysis where required
Let's Talk About You!
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial services
- Excellent analytical, modeling and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in using MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal or Capital IQ
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong business acumen with proven ability to thrive in a high intensity environment
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven track record of developing relationships and maturity to interact with senior executives
- Ability to prioritize assignments, projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
- Problem solver with sound judgment who takes initiative, accepts ownership and accountability
- Ability to work in ambiguously defined situations with minimal supervision
