Position Overview
StepStone Mexico is looking for a detailed-orientated individual who will work for a team that supports quarterly/annual reporting, and operations for numerous vehicles investing in Private Markets that are listed in the Mexican stock exchanges. The person should be fluent in Spanish and have a solid understanding of investment and private equity markets, as well as strong writing and translation skills.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare quarterly/annual investor reports, cash flow notices and any other deliverables, including common representative reports or reports to meet regulatory requirements, related to vehicles listed in the Mexican stock exchanges
- Support all internal/external communication efforts related to vehicles listed in the Mexican stock exchanges to ensure on time reporting, including communications with the trustee, common representative, independent valuators, auditors, passive administrators, trust accountants, price providers, and any other service providers
- Work with trustee to update firm records for all vehicles listed in the Mexican stock exchanges and manage operations of the trust which includes requesting signatures from executives for trust operations (cash flow notices, payment of services, among others)
- Monitoring and reporting of the investment activity and performance of vehicles listed in the Mexican stock exchanges and assisting in fee/cash flow analyses and coupon payment calculations
- Assist with meticulous review of client deliverables provided by internal teams, including the position reports provided by the private debt team related to the Rated Notes listed in the Mexican stock exchanges
- Assist with resolving inquiries from institutional investors, high net worth clients, Private Bankers and/or Financial Advisors
- Data entry and/or reconcile data into central database
- Translate financial information and investment summaries from English to Spanish or vice versa
- Coordinate compliance approvals of Fund reports, presentations, cash flow notices and file management for team
- Complete RFPs/RFIs, surveys/questionnaires and client requests, including writing and editing content, working with cross-functional teams to obtain all the necessary information, and ensuring that the final product is accurate and delivered on time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business preferred
- Two or more years of related financial services experience required (understanding of CERPIs/CKDs/publicly listed trusts or working as a trustee)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (writing sample required)
- General familiarity with Mexican financial services industry and reporting requirements of private equity publicly listed securities in Mexico
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
- Highly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptability and teamwork skills that prefers to work in a collegial environment.
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage time in a detail-oriented environment
- Follow up skills and acute attention to accuracy and detail are essential
- Strong financial accounting skills
