The Role

About This Role:
As a Senior Analyst II in our Record to Report team, you will manage general ledger operations for Biogen’s LATAM Affiliates, focusing on cash and treasury reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activities, payroll, prepayments, and accruals. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of monthly and quarterly financial information, including PnL, BS, VAT, CIT, and other financial packages. Your expertise in intercompany transactions will involve processing ICO True-ups and COGS invoices. This position significantly contributes to the financial transparency and accuracy required for strategic decision-making, fitting seamlessly into our finance operations. Your work will support the overall business by providing robust financial insights and maintaining excellent financial controls within our LATAM markets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Calculate and post journal entries for BIG5 and LATAM markets.
  • Provide reporting on PnL, BS, and prepare various schedules, including running PA reports.
  • Prepare VAT data and CIT templates for accurate tax compliance.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on BIG5 and LATAM markets.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analyses to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with consultants to prepare statutory financial statements.
  • Manage ICO transactions, including processing Tax True-ups and COGS invoices.
  • Provide data and explanations for internal and external audits.

You excel in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly with consultants and auditors. Your bilingual skills in English and Spanish enable you to communicate effectively across diverse teams. You are committed to continuous improvement and seek ways to enhance processes and efficiencies.

Required Skills:

  • University degree in Finance (preferred in Accountancy).
  • 5+ years of experience in international accounting.
  • Experience in working for SSC/BPO.
  • Good understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong knowledge of various AP/AR/CM/FA processes.
  • Experience with SOX Internal Controls design and testing.
  • Experience with statutory reporting processes.
  • Proficiency in Oracle R12 and MS Office (Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish.

Preferred Skills:

  • Additional qualifications in accounting (ACCA/CIMA exams preferred).
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement.

  • Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.
