You'll become a trusted finance partner supporting the US Commercial organization from Moderna's international hub in Warsaw, helping shape investment decisions in a fast-growing, data-driven environment. You'll combine strategic financial planning with operational excellence, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights, strengthen planning processes, and improve financial performance. This is an opportunity to influence global decision-making while helping advance innovative mRNA medicines, with increasing exposure to digital finance capabilities and Generative AI-enabled tools that enhance planning, reporting, and business insight.

Here's What You'll Do:

  • Partner closely with the US Commercial organization to understand financial priorities, investment strategies, and key value drivers across Marketing, Trade & Fulfilment, Market Access, and US Operations.

  • Deliver strategic financial analysis, ROI assessments, scenario modelling, and actionable recommendations that support business decision-making and resource allocation.

  • Lead annual planning cycles, budgeting, forecasting, quarterly trend analysis, and proactive financial risk management.

  • Provide financial guidance that helps shape spending decisions and ensures investments are directed toward the highest-impact business initiatives.

  • Own and continuously improve month-end reporting for US Commercial leadership, providing clear insight into financial performance, variances, and future outlook.

  • Develop and enhance financial dashboards, datasets, and planning tools, driving automation, improved accessibility, and deeper analytical capabilities.

  • Manage data loading into Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems for sales and operating expense planning while maintaining accurate, traceable planning assumptions.

  • Coordinate month-end and quarter-end accruals, partnering with Accounting and business stakeholders to resolve complex financial items and ensure compliance with accounting guidance.

  • Partner across Finance, Digital, and Commercial teams to strengthen financial systems, governance, reporting accuracy, and forecasting processes.

  • Oversee purchase requisition approvals, support accounting operations during close activities, and ensure accurate expenditure recognition, purchase order integrity, and cost centre alignment.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify finance processes, improve information flow, reduce operational friction, and strengthen business partnering across the Commercial Finance organisation.

  • Explore emerging digital technologies, including Generative AI, to help modernise financial planning, reporting, analytics, and decision support. (Opportunity added in line with advertising guidance.)

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • 6+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, or a related finance role within a global publicly traded organisation.

  • Master's degree, MBA, or professional finance qualification is advantageous.

  • Experience within life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or another complex commercial environment is highly desirable.

  • Advanced financial modelling, scenario planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with expert Excel capability.

  • Experience communicating financial insights and recommendations to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Tier 1 ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems, and financial planning and reporting tools.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced global environment.
