Position at a Glance
The Manufacturing Yields & Efficiency SME - GBS will join our Supply Chain Finance team in Mexico City as part of our Global Capability Center. This role will support and work directly with our local plant controllers who are based in our factories in North America. The key responsibilities include providing deep financial and operational analysis related to production yield, variances, and product costing. The SME will leverage their extensive knowledge to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction, ensuring financial forecasts accurately reflect manufacturing performance. They will act as a consultant to operations leadership and finance teams to drive strategic business decisions. In addition, this position will work with manufacturing operations to identify process improvements and to streamline workflows. This position reports to the SME Lead - GBS and indirectly into the on-shore plant controllers. The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge of large data set management applied to finance environment with strong analytical mind-set and attention to details, associated with a collaborative approach.

• Performance analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of manufacturing yield, scrap, and rework metrics to quantify their financial impact. Identify and explain key drivers behind production variances, including labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Financial modeling and forecasting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for manufacturing operations. Build predictive models to forecast future yield rates and associated costs.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with manufacturing engineers, production managers, and supply chain teams to troubleshoot operational issues and drive continuous improvement. Translate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
• Reporting and dashboards: Develop, maintain, and automate regular reporting on operational KPIs and financial performance. Create dashboards for senior management that provide actionable insights into manufacturing trends.
• Process improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to improve financial processes, reporting, and data integrity related to manufacturing finance.
• Manufacturing efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and resource management while working with the maintenance teams at the plants to identify and quantify manufacturing downtime.

1. Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Scientist, Data Engineering or a related field;
2. Experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience;
• Proficient with software such as Excel (Power Pivot), Snowflake, PowerBi and ability to work with heavy data set to create, modify and ensure accuracy of complex spreadsheets;
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is considered a plus;

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal;
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a global finance environment;
• Collaborative mindset and a proactive attitude;
