About the opportunity:
Shutterstock is a growing and profitable tech company headquartered in New York City that powers visual creativity around the world. We are currently seeking a highly driven and results-oriented professional to join Shutterstock’s Financial Planning & Analysis team as a Senior Analyst, FP&A.
In this role, you will perform detailed and in-depth financial modeling used to inform executive decision-making around capital spending, operating budgets, and long-term planning. The right individual will be a key contributor to the FP&A team in developing accurate forecasts, reporting on business metrics, and driving strategic business decisions for Shutterstock, a global e-commerce & enterprise business.
The day to day:

Support the monthly revenue forecasting process for our Marketplace (eCommerce) business

Support the monthly OpEx forecasting process for marketing (e.g., SEM, SEO, Display, Affiliate) , employee and other direct expenses

Prepare monthly forecast reporting packages and assist in preparation of quarterly board of director materials

Provide analysis and insights into variances between actual and expected financial results

Track KPIs including Churn, Conversion rates, Average Order Value, Customer Acquisition Cost, and Customer Lifetime Value, and perform analyses to drive strategic recommendations. Establish and maintain industry best practices in reporting and analytics.

Ad Hoc scenario planning related to product launches, changes to spend, pricing tests
What you’ll bring to the role:

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, accounting or investment banking, (FP&A experience preferred)

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative field

Enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analyses
-
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data visualization tools

Strong communication skills; oral and written

Experience using Adaptive or other planning systems a plus

Knowledge using SQL a plus

Business acumen and knowledge of functional elements which are important for business profitability in order to influence, drive and positively impact business results

A strong problem solver and communicator who can work cross-functionally and explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences

Self-starter who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects independently

High standard for integrity required for exposure to confidential company performance data and legal contracts

Position is considered hybrid and would require the candidate to be local to the New York Metropolitan area

The compensation package offered may vary depending on employment experience, skills, and knowledge. You may also be eligible for our generous benefits package including health, wellness and financial benefits. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of the location(s) below may differ based on the cost of labor, market, and additional factors.
The pay range for this position is below:
• 110,000 - 120,000 per year in New York
Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
