Senior Analyst - Forecasting & Research

The Strategy group maps out where we’re going, what that means, and what it looks like. Our Research team analyses the industry so that we’re never playing catch-up and have an insight to expected trends and passenger forecasts. The group translate strategies into plans and projects.  Research are responsible for the overall airport capacity for both DXB and DWC, this includes seasonal capacity declaration through to long term future capacity requirements based on insights from the Forecasting team. The wider Strategy and Development group creates the strategy so that we’re agile enough to respond in a fast-evolving industry.

What you’ll deliver

• You will support the development and ongoing updates of annual long-term demand forecasts for passengers, cargo, aircraft movements etc, which will inform commercial and master planning processes and drive the strategic planning of investments and infrastructure.

• You’ll be responsible for providing routine reports including the monthly management information reports that track airport performance in terms of passengers, cargo, aero-revenue and schedules, detailed written commentary on trends observed , and identify opportunities and risks related to the airport performance managing and maintaining regular reporting and data libraries.

• You’ll be responsible for producing design day schedules for both airports (DXB/DWC), necessary for capacity planning and future projects development, as well as providing market/airline data and analysis.

• You will continuously support/ lead parts of the development and reporting of operational, monthly and budget traffic and demand forecasts across both airports (DXB & DWC)

• You will explore, test and adopt the latest technology and methods to streamline and improve the forecast and traffic insights workflows and data management processes, including but not limited to, statistical analysis and machine learning to assist in operations planning and resources optimization, as well as passenger experience improvements.

• In summary, you will be the focal point of all traffic statistics and will lead and support various forecasting and modelling activities.

What you bring

• You’ll be educated to bachelor's degree level in a relevant business discipline such as Statistics, Operational Research, or Economics

• You’ll have stakeholder and time management skills

• You’ll have advanced expertise with Tableau as well as mastery of Excel, programming and modelling (python) skills, and super user of MS Office Suite of products – Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Access
