Job Description:
We are currently searching for a Senior Financial Analyst with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance at Microchip’s headquarters in Chandler, Arizona. This position will prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual filings to meet reporting requirements for the company.
Working with large amounts of data in multiple systems is expected for this role. The ideal candidate possesses excellent Excel skills and will have a flexible, can-do attitude and be attracted to challenges and opportunities while working within a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with month, quarter and year end closing activities, including internal and external financial reporting requirements.
Assist with annual shareholder reporting.
Assist with preparation and filing of SEC documents, including support schedules, reviews and audits.
Assist with development and compliance on internal audit requirements.
Data collection and analysis for quarterly internal reporting, government reporting and ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of accounting or Big 4 audit experience
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to research and investigate independently
Knowledge of US GAAP including ability to research, document and apply accounting standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines
Comfortable with managing large amounts of data in different formats and systems
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
CPA
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
