Job Details:
Position Summary: This role will be a member of the Prepared Foods Supply Chain FP&A team. The position is focused on providing financial support and analysis primarily surrounding Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Key responsibilities include assisting with monthly forecasting, cost analyses, month-end close, the annual operating plan, and validating cost changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support financial planning, cost analysis, and reporting.
- Support the 18-month rolling COGS forecast.
- Responsible for monthly analysis of manufacturing variances and COGS bridges.
- Assist with the ongoing implementation of the Prepared Foods Anaplan Planning and Bridging models.
- Support the annual operating plan and any strategic plans.
- Analyze costs of manufactured products for commodity changes.
- Support and validate cost changes.
- Communicate cost changes to procurement and the business units.
- Assist in ad hoc requests and special projects.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of Finance and/or Cost Accounting experience. Proven success in roles requiring strong analytical and systems skills. Must have a mindset focused on continuous improvement, with the ability to troubleshoot and take corrective actions to streamline internal processes.
Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills required, including the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners.
Computer Skills: Strong proficiency with MS Excel, including experience successfully working with large data sets and managing financial models. Proficiency with ERP systems, SAP preferred, and familiarity with financial planning and reporting tools such as Anaplan or AFE.
Position Specific Skills: Proficient knowledge of cost accounting principles. Proficient knowledge of accounting principles & policies. Proficient in financial analysis.
