The Role

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Analyst, Finance – EMEA, you play a key role in supporting the financial management and operational success of the EMEA region at Arc’teryx. Working closely with the Director, Finance – EMEA and the wider Finance team, you will contribute to the region’s growth plans through hands-on ownership of core elements of the Finance reporting and planning cycle.

This includes preparing financial forecasts, supporting the annual operating plan with a focus on SG&A management, contributing to the longrange planning process, and delivering accurate and timely monthly reporting. In this role, you will support monthly performance reviews by analyzing financial results, identifying key trends, and preparing insights that support informed decisionmaking.

You will partner with Group Shared Services and Brand HQ Accounting teams to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial close activities and maintain strong financial controls. 

This position is based in our Munich office (Garching) and on a hybrid mode (2 days in the office, 2 days at home and, 1 day at the dicretion of the manager). Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany. 

Meet Your Future Team: 

The Finance team at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing leadership with the information they need to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future profitability and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, finance advises leadership on key investment decisions and drives performance improvement. 

If you were in the Senior Analyst Finance - EMEA role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

    • Support planning, forecasting, and reporting for the EMEA regional P&L, ensuring accurate and timely financial outputs. 

    • Contribute to strengthening a highperforming Finance function by collaborating and sharing expertise. 

    • Assist in preparing and maintaining the 5year longrange plan, linking strategy to financial drivers and investment needs. 

    • Support the annual planning cycle through data analysis, consolidation, assumption validation, and preparation of leadership materials. 

    • Participate in routine sales and financial performance reviews, identifying risks, opportunities, and business trends. 

    • Prepare insights and materials for evolving financial presentations, helping enhance reporting formats and efficiency. 

    • Support SG&A and operating expense planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. 

    • Collaborate with Group Shared Services and Brand HQ Accounting to support accurate monthly and quarterly close processes. 

    • Assist in improving EMEA-specific accounting and reporting capabilities through process enhancements. 

    • Prepare quantitative analyses for budget, forecast, and performance reviews to support informed decisionmaking. 

    • Support preparation of financial performance updates for the Brand HQ Finance team. 

    • Contribute to investment and capital spending analyses, including financial modeling and postcompletion reviews. 

    • Perform adhoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Are you our next Senior Analyst Finance – EMEA?

    • You have 3–5+ years of experience in Finance, ideally within the retail industry or a fastpaced, multiunit environment. 

    • You have a university degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a CPA, CA, CMA, or MBA is an asset. 

    • You have exceptional analytical and modeling skills and knowledge of financial statements 

    • You ideally have international business experience, or have experience working in a global, matrixed organization  

    • You have demonstrated ability to support and drive projects across an organization 

    • You can step in and take charge with minimum instruction 

    • You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines 

    • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills 

    • You have experience working with BI tools and multi-platform, multi-currency environments 

    • Familiar with global ERPs (such as SAP) and financial planning tools (ie: Oracle) 

    • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions 

    • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement 

    • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment 

    • You have an interest or involvement in activities that we make products for 

    • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
