At Jetstar, we are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Senior Analyst, Data & Analytics to drive data and analytics initiatives that support key business decisions. In this role, you will apply your data analysis and business intelligence expertise to design high-quality data assets that enable self-service analytics and deliver insights that shape product, growth, and strategy decisions. 

You will work closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams, including Central Data Engineering and Commercial teams, to define key metrics, maintain robust data pipelines, and ensure data quality and consistency. You will also translate complex data into clear, decision ready insights, promote best practices, and identify opportunities where data can unlock meaningful business value. 

The responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Design and build gold-layer data assets and semantic features that power self-service business reporting. 
  • Deliver advanced analyses and insights that drive product, growth, and commercial strategy decisions. 
  • Design and deploy next-generation BI and analytics tools that give Commercial teams direct, confident self-serve access to data. 
  • Translate complex data into decision-ready outputs for senior leadership. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to define key metrics and ensure alignment across teams. 
  • Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, and Product to maintain robust pipelines and models. 
  • Communicate technical issues, trade-offs, and opportunities clearly to business teams. 
  • Peer-review and provide feedback on the work of other analysts to maintain high standards. 
  • Implement version control practices and monitor for pipeline or data issues. 
  • Document workflows, ensure metric consistency, and promote best data governance practices. 
  • Identify and communicate strategic opportunities where data can unlock business value. 

What you will bring:  

  • 3-5 years in data analytics, data engineering, BI, or related roles. 
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills and strong experience with data modelling. 
  • Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouse architecture (Snowflake experience highly regarded). 
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g. Fivetran, dbt). 
  • Strong commercial acumen to contextualise findings. 
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying production-grade agentic AI workflows. 
  • Familiarity with version control and collaborative workflows (e.g., Git). 
  • Ability to mentor and review work of more junior team members. 
  • Proven ability to deliver insights that shape strategy and performance.
