Purpose
The Senior Analyst – CSR Business Development (CSR BD) will drive the organization's fundraising and partnership development efforts by identifying CSR opportunities, developing high-quality proposals, designing impactful programs, and strengthening donor relationships. The role will support resource mobilization, strategic partnerships, and business growth through research-driven program development, effective stakeholder engagement, and compelling donor communications.
Key Responsibilities
1. CSR Business Development & Partnerships
  • Identify, assess, and pursue CSR, foundation, and philanthropic funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective corporate partners and CSR donors.
  • Conduct donor mapping, prospect research, and funding landscape analysis.
  • Support end-to-end partnership development, from opportunity identification to proposal submission and partnership closure.
  • Maintain regular engagement with existing and prospective donors to strengthen relationships and identify collaboration opportunities.
2. Proposal Writing & Fundraising
  • Lead the development of high-quality proposals, concept notes, grant applications, EOIs, and partnership pitches.
  • Customize proposals based on donor priorities, CSR mandates, and funding requirements.
  • Collaborate with program, monitoring, and finance teams to develop compelling narratives, budgets, and impact frameworks.
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals while adhering to quality and compliance standards.
  • Support leadership in fundraising strategy and donor engagement initiatives.
3. Research & Needs Assessment
  • Conduct secondary research, sector analysis, and stakeholder mapping to identify social development needs and emerging opportunities.
  • Undertake skill-gap studies, market assessments, demand analysis, and regional profiling exercises.
  • Develop evidence-based problem statements and strategic recommendations to strengthen proposal quality.
  • Monitor CSR trends, government priorities, industry developments, and donor interests.
4. Program Design & Development
  • Translate research insights into scalable and donor-ready program designs.
  • Develop project logframes, theories of change, implementation frameworks, and results measurement plans.
  • Define project outputs, outcomes, milestones, and key success indicators.
  • Ensure program interventions are aligned with donor objectives and organizational impact goals.
5. Budgeting & Financial Planning Support
  • Coordinate with finance and program teams to prepare detailed project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Support financial forecasting and resource planning for funding proposals.
  • Ensure budget alignment with donor guidelines, compliance requirements, and program objectives.
  • Assist in budget revisions, justifications, and financial narratives.
6. Donor Presentations & Corporate Engagement
  • Develop high-quality pitch decks, partnership presentations, and fundraising collateral.
  • Support leadership during donor meetings, partnership discussions, and CSR consultations.
  • Prepare briefing notes, opportunity summaries, and partnership proposals for senior management.
  • Effectively communicate organizational impact, program outcomes, and value propositions to external stakeholders.
7. Reporting & Impact Documentation
  • Prepare donor reports, progress updates, impact summaries, and program performance reviews.
  • Track project achievements against committed targets and outcomes.
  • Develop case studies, success stories, and impact narratives for fundraising and donor engagement purposes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of reported data and results.
8. Pipeline Management & MIS
  • Maintain and regularly update the CSR partnership pipeline and opportunity tracker.
  • Monitor proposal statuses, donor interactions, submission deadlines, and funding commitments.
  • Generate periodic dashboard reports and business development updates for leadership review.
  • Support strategic planning through data-driven insights and pipeline analysis.
9. Knowledge Management
  • Develop and maintain repositories of proposals, donor databases, case studies, impact evidence, and standard templates.
  • Establish structured documentation systems to improve organizational learning and proposal efficiency.
  • Support the creation of knowledge products and partnership collateral.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CSR partnerships, business development, fundraising, proposal development, consulting, or social sector programs.
  • Prior experience engaging with corporate CSR teams, foundations, or development sector stakeholders is preferred.
