The role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented advisor who is passionate about developing new CRA processes for a fast growing technology driven Bank. This is a great opportunity to take the lead in developing new processes and enhancing current processes while collaborating with internal partners to strive for “Outstanding” performance.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures necessary for a successful implementation of an enhanced company-wide contributions process
- Meet with local nonprofit organizations and community partners to identify community needs, then work within the community to develop programs to meet those needs, utilizing employee volunteerism and CD Contributions to support the efforts
- Partner with vendors to build out and develop contributions processes
- Work with Bank internal business units to enhance contributions payment processes, post-contribution reporting and follow-ups to ensure all contribution data is ready for internal and external audits and examinations
- Under the support of the Community Development (“CD”) Manager, analyze the CD contributions, CD services, consumer loans, small business loans and CD loans; review for CRA consideration to ensure the Bank is meeting it’s CRA Strategic Plan measurable goals
- Enhance the current volunteerism system and CD service review process
- Work with organizations in Salt Lake and Sacramento on volunteer opportunities, and create volunteer events within the system
- Assist with consumer lending monthly reporting, analysis and audit for CRA-eligibility
- Partner with CRA Team to tell our CRA Story in a meaningful way for maximum impact
- Provide guidance on what qualifies for CRA to internal partners
- CRA Program Support
- Respond to Public File requests and CRA related complaints
- Create and/or present CRA materials for employees
- Review/audit CD Investments
- Assist with CD Lending/CD Investment Originations
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of CRA Experience, with a priority on contributions, community engagement, volunteering, creation of policies and procedures
- Advanced technical expertise (Excel, Tableau, CRA Reporting Systems)
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- High-level of initiative to push for excellence and results while maintaining a high level of data integrity
- Ability to create, innovate and enhance current processes for further automation
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate
- Comfort with working in a remote environment, the ambiguity of changing priorities and the flexibility to embrace new ideas within a fast paced environment
- Teamwork makes the dreamwork mentality
- Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time
Nice to have:
- Located within Salt Lake City, Utah
- Experience with CD Investments and CD Lending
- Experience working with the Office of Comptroller of Currency (OCC)
- Product Owner experience on a CRA Reporting System
- Possess a growth mindset (to problem solve and innovate)
