Commercial Department

The Commercial Team is responsible for underwriting all organic development opportunities at Vantage, with an emphasis on underwriting strategic commercial partnerships, leasing opportunities with hyperscale customers, and land acquisitions for Vantage’s North America platform. The Team acts as the “deal desk” for all commercial partnerships, including third-parties and hyperscale customers, and is responsible for deriving commercial terms and structures to maximize strategic growth for the Company and investment returns to Vantage’s investors. The Commercial Team partners with internal Teams at Vantage, including: New Site Development, Capital Markets, Corporate Development, Sales, Technology, Construction, Operations, Legal, and Finance. Position Overview

Vantage is seeking a Senior Analyst, Commercial Development, NA to lead Vantage’s commercial underwriting efforts across its North America Platform. This is a highly visible and cross functional role that requires expertise in financial modeling, strategic decision making, and risk identification and mitigation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, capable of delivering results on multiple projects and priorities without constant direction. Teamwork, adaptability, and emotional intelligence are essential for collaborating with diverse teams and navigating complex negotiations effectively. You should have a professional-growth mindset and bring forth ideas to innovate by identifying new opportunities or improving existing processes.

This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). #LI-Hybrid #LI-SD1

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform detailed financial analysis on potential commercial partnerships, customer leasing opportunities, and land acquisitions.; identify key risks in concert with internal partners to evaluate structure and to make informed recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

  • Build complex financial models to support your recommendations; build sensitivities and contemplate multiple scenarios to understand downside and to mitigate risk.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Teams at Vantage to refine model inputs and to ensure outputs are suitable for executive consumption.

  • Present findings and recommendations of financial analysis to senior and executive leadership with an emphasis on opportunity risks, returns, and trends.

  • Participate in customer lease and new site acquisition negotiations to position key deal terms and support Sales and Site Selection in negotiations on highly complex deal terms.

  • Additional duties as assigned by Management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, real estate, and/or equivalent experience, required. Master’s degree a plus.

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in finance related role with extensive financial modeling experience (investment banking, private equity, corporate development, capital markets, consulting, etc.), required.

  • Extensive experience building highly dynamic, unit economic-driven financial models, utilizing leveraged buy-out and other valuation methodologies; experience converting term sheets into dynamic financial models a plus.

  • Data Center and/or commercial or industrial real estate experience, a plus, but not required.

  • Strong analytical mind, problem solving skills, quantitative / qualitative abilities, and modelling skills, required.

  • The ability to build consensus, simplify the complex and develop clear communication and presentation materials to a variety of audiences.

  • Self-starter, ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks at once.

  • Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Executive presence and effective communication skills, required.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
