As the Senior Administrator - IT Systems, you will be responsible for creating and organizing projects for our JIRA cloud platform, as well as configuring the layout, design, workflows and dashboards. You will be accountable for the overall ownership, governance and administration of Jira & Confluence as well as integrating Jira & Confluence with other tools. You will be responsible for project setup and configurations, importing projects, data import (csv, etc.) and Jira automation. You will perform upgrades using Jira Query Language (JQL) and develop dashboards and confluence templates.
Responsibilities:
- Support JIRA Software, JIRA Service Desk, Confluence administration, including creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes custom fields, as well as importing projects
- Work on an Agile team with other Jira Admins and team members in a fast-paced environment
- Serve as Internal SME (Subject Matter Experts) for Jira, JSD and Confluence
- Meet with stakeholders to identify JIRA Project and Confluence needs and implement them as appropriate following our best practices and standards
- Architect and maintain permissions across multiple companies and instances of Atlassian's products
- Provide User Management and grant user permissions in accordance with role given by the company
- Create and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentation
- Install, manage, and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions
- Responsible for front-end configurations, implementing customization, evaluating, implementing, and managing plug-ins, integrations, and for being a go-to source for all Jira related questions and tasks
- Develop and compile training materials based on the areas needs
- Create, maintain, and support dashboards and advanced filters for end users reporting capabilities
- Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite
- Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
- Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams
- Creates Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree – Information Technology, Business or related field required; Master's Degree preferred
- 5 years of Jira Software, Jira Service Desk and Confluence software administration experience
- 5 Years of experience with customization of for tools like JIRA, Jira Service Desk, Atlassian Access and Confluence, creating custom workflows, fields, conditions, validators, post-transitions, and other project components in Jira
- 3 years developing custom solutions using the Atlassian product suite
- Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language)
- Experience with Jira Cloud, Jira Service Desk Cloud, Confluence Cloud
- Experience with migration from on-prem to Cloud, and Cloud to Cloud
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders and software development teams
- Experience with Atlassian plug-ins, specifically EazyBI preferred
- Experience in Agile, Scrum and Scrum at Scale principles preferred
