ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate, Bitcoin Mining Strategy plays a critical role in driving the company's strategic growth initiatives. This position involves leading complex market analyses, spearheading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, supporting strategic investments and developing strategic partnerships. The Senior Associate collaborates closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and execute high-impact opportunities, perform detailed financial evaluations, and deliver strategic recommendations.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
Strategic Market Analysis:
- Lead comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential growth opportunities.
- Develop and present market analyses and strategic insights to senior leadership to inform business strategy.
Financial Evaluation and Modeling:
- Create and manage sophisticated financial models to evaluate the financial implications of potential ASIC acquisitions, strategic investments, operating fleet optimizations and other business opportunities.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on strategy, including financial analysis and risk assessment.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities, from initial screening to integration planning, and through implementation.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda, board presentations, and other documentation to support decision-making processes.
- Recommend operating enhancements with a goal of profit maximization of operating ASIC mining fleet.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation:
- Assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Manage relationships with external parties, including key partners, consultants, and legal counsel, to facilitate transaction processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams, including finance, legal, operations, and corporate development, to ensure seamless execution and integration of strategic initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the ASIC Compute Strategy team and other departments to foster collaboration and alignment on strategic goals.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report on the performance of and strategic decisions for the operating ASIC Mining fleet, providing insights and recommendations for future opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate progress and outcomes to senior management.

ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a related field.
- Direct experience in Bitcoin, Bitcoin mining, or energy are a encouraged but not a requirement.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
