The Senior Analyst, Application Support (8-month contract) is responsible for planning, monitoring, and executing the clients' testing requirements within testing environments. This individual will participate in the creation, maintenance, and execution of functional, integration, and regression test suites, as well as the defect management process. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, client representatives, and clients to comprehend testing requirements and manage testing activities appropriately. The coordination of Code deployments across multiple environments will also fall within the scope of this position.

Reports to: Lead, Application Support & Client Engagement

Job Location: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office) – based in Toronto, ON

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for Day to day testing data setup, execution of client testing requirements in TCS BaNCS application testing environment.

  • Collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders to gather, confirm and document, the understanding of the clients functional and end-to-end testing requirements

  • Participate in testing, reporting on results, ensuring quality and adherence to the business requirements

  • Understanding of systems, business, data, and technical architecture disciplines, including key methodologies and approaches such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM), and high-availability/high-performance systems design.

  • Possess the capability to translate business requirements into comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.

  • Lead testing environment support activities in collaboration with team members.

  • Participate in Functional and regression testing to ensure optimal quality prior to promotion to production.

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for adapting to new environments, rapidly acquiring proficiency in new technologies, and functioning as a cooperative team member with a positive disposition.

  • Competent in coordinating and executing all defined testing activities, adhering to the Agile/waterfall software development lifecycle.

  • Engage in testing, report on outcomes, and ensure quality and compliance with business requirements.

  • Exhibit the ability to operate autonomously, liaise with stakeholders, undertake necessary research, and drive deliverables with minimal oversight.

  • Experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of business systems in cloud or on-premise environments.

  • Demonstrated experience and capability in converting non-technical user requests into complex technical specifications and solutions that successfully address business needs.

  • Experience with Change management, incident management standards and practices including critical communication to business and IT stakeholders

Must Have(s)

  • A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent program or experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in web applications development and maintenance

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good knowledge of QA Processes, Testing Life Cycle, SDLC and Defect Management processes for application testing, development and support

  • Prior experience with any application products related to the Trade Life Cycle and Corporate Action Life Cycle.

Nice to Have(s)

  • Demonstrated experience with Clearing and Settlement applications, ideally involving TCS BaNCS Market Infrastructure

  • Proficient working knowledge of Splunk and Service Now alerting systems

  • Previous experience utilizing automation tools to design, execute, and debug functional test cases

  • Experience in leveraging the Jenkins tool to execute scripts for data setup

  • Proven expertise encompassing:

    • Middleware technologies (MQ Series / WAS)

    • Relational Databases

    • Axway / CFT Hub for file transmission

    • SWIFT and ISO messaging standards

Salary Range: $90/hour - $95/hour CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
